Its good it can go in the bath. It can't really do much though - just turn heads. My kids always seem to pull the fins out and we have to hunt to find them again.

The only benefit is it adds to the Pirate collection and gives the pirate ship something to shoot its canons at.

I bought this for the family to play at christmas. We had the old version by MB games but it's been used that much over the years it's falling to bits! Anyhow, this is a brilliant game, so simple to play for any age. Open the box and you're playing within minutes. This game will definitely bring your children's and your word skills on in no time. My daughter used to love it as a six year old onwards and is now 18 and studying english literature! I'm not saying this is totally down to Hangman but do you know what? It absolutely helped! More fun than with just pencil and paper. If you like word play then this is a must for all ages. I hope I haven't made any spelling mistakes here!

Bought this for my Daughter's Birthday (Aged 7). She absolutely loves it - and so do I! It is so easy to set up and much more fun to play than the traditional pencil and paper hangman. It is great for learning spellings and expanding vocabulary. I have to say my Daughter beats me frequently because she is so good at thinking of difficult words now.

My little girl got this for christmas she is 9 and simply loves it she has played with it for hours and it has brought on her spelling and thinking of words.Very simple to play and fun,better than the hangman I had as a child.If I had to pick fault the only minor thing would be the pieces of the hang man are difficult for little fingers to turn,but that does not spoil it at all.Well worth the money.

What can i say about this game from Fantasy Flight?

Its a 1 or 2 player co-operative card game, that is real fun to play.
At first i was a little worried that it was maybe just cashing in on the LOTR name etc. but I was wrong. Fantasy Flight have to be one of the top game companies around and all of their products are top notch and this is no different. I wont go into the mechanics of the game, just say its not difficult to pick up the rules and get playing straight away. Being a living card game, each month a new set of cards comes out that adds more scenerios to the base game, there are also a couple of deluxe expansions for the game and these too add a new dimension to the game play.
It realy can be played by one person, but is even better with 2. You dont have to buy the new sets as they come out, but they realy are worth it.

All in all I think this is a great game and would recommend it to any game player.

For fans wanting to reproduce the epic adventure of Tolkein's fantasy masterpiece, then this living card game (LCG) is substantial fare. This core set provides 1 or 2 players with the essential cards to play the game, along with 3 quests of ascending difficulty. The artwork is generally excellent without being outstanding, recreating the feel of the books. Fantasy Flight have eschewed the film licence feel and gone for original drawings.

It's important to note that this is a co-operative game, with each player working together to complete a specific quest. At the time of writing, Fantasy Flight have released 5 small expansion sets for the first cycle, each of which contains a quest along with one hero and 25 or so unique cards. The first major expansion, Khazad-Dum, is due in the winter.

Like the Game of Thrones LCG, this is a deck-building game, with each player first choosing 3 heroes and then constructing a deck from the 4 spheres of influence - Tactics, Leadership, Willpower and Spirit. Each hero has a specific ability, along with an offensive, defensive and willpower rating.

The game itself is a little complicated at first to grasp, but thankfully Fantasy Flight provide an excellent manual which explains the majority of the rules. Each player selects their heroes and deck of cards from a list of allies, attachments and events. Depending on the quest, they then have to build an encounter deck from the icons on the quest deck which will include enemies, locations and treachery.

The essence of this game is in finding a balance with your heroes as it's not just a case of defeating monsters. You'll need to devote at least one of your heroes to "questing", whilst also having enough firepower to dispatch foes. It's also a run against the clock as your threat level is continually rising. Once your threat reaches 50, the game is over.

Although this game can be played solo, it is best played with 2. You could potentially play with 4, but you'd really need 2 sets of the core cards to do this. Beware though, because the quests are extremely difficult. For those seeking a real challenge, then this is worthwhile. Building a set of decks to complement each other can be good fun, but players seeking something light and fun might be advised to see if they can try before they buy.

This game is great for fans of LOTR books, and i says books because it is based on them not the film, which for me is the best thing of all, however those who have just seen the films will probably enjoy this to.

The game doesnt take all that long to learn, and once done, can be played anywhere between 15mins to around 2hrs depending on how many players.

i have just played solo, and it is very hard, but that doesnt put me off

the parts in the game are well made, and the card artwork is amazing, only thing i would say is that the cards could be a little thicker.

The valkyrie has been one of the most anticipated releases games workshop have had for years, and it's not hard to see why when you have the kit in your hands.

The box itself is a little bigger then a landraider box when you first get it, and it is chock full of bits to keep you happy, resulting in a model which is roughly the same as a baneblade (at its longest length and width it's actually bigger but the main hull is rather skinny in comparison)

The kit itself is relaityively simple to put together, with some helpful instructions to figure out everything. The main hull is the tricky part if you want door gunners and sliding hatches, but it's nothing to complex (though an extra pair of hands would be nice, as at one stage you have to fix the compartment together with four moveable parts held in by the smallest of guide holes.) But the finished product is well worth it.

a stunning kit that looks brilliant on the specially designed flying base and in my opinion a more worthwhile investment then a landraider or baneblade. My only serious gripe is that it doesnt come with the upgrades to make it the Vendetta gunhip variant.
